WOMENS WINTER FASHION TRENDS 2013

11 December 2013

I’m going to start with a confession: winter is not really my favourite season (summer is) but the fact that you can wrap up in all sorts of layers does soften the blow and adds fun when putting an outfit together. Not even mentioning the endless possibilities of adding accessories…

For me winter also provides a real contrast of activities. From keeping active outside to beat the cold with a brisk walk on crisp and crunchy snow, or even ice skating, skiing or sledging to pure relaxation inside preferably curling up in front of an open fire with a hot drink in hand, propped up by lots of comfy cushions and candles. Maybe I should rethink my choice of favourite season!?

Today’s little moodboard focuses on women’s winter fashion trends I’ve picked up on Pinterest and Tumblr, chunky knits being a real favourite of mine at the moment but I hope it’ll also give you a warm feeling inside seeing all these luxuriously soft fabrics and textures. As always I’ve included a load of street styles to take inspiration from as well as some beautifully composed fashion shots. Sit back and enjoy.

What do you like best about winter?

NOTE: For more on chunky knits read Madga & Paula’s story of BRUUM KNITS.

A very inspiring board 🙂 I love winter because it’s sweater and hot cocoa time, but I’m always cold even when I’m wearing lots of layers! That’s what I don’t like about it..
And thanks for mentioning us again! 🙂

Why oh why don’t blogger give the ‘sources’ for what we’re looking at. I live in Manhattan. I see women wearing some amazing things, but can’t go up to them to ask for the ‘source’. Blogs need to provide that!

Totally agree with you Carol. Though this is a moodboard and therefore just giving you a ‘look and feel’ rather than details on any items. Have you tried polyvore.com? A lot of great bloggers are on there (including myself 😉 and you’ll be able to ‘shop the look’. Hope this helps.
