Are you getting into the festive spirit yet? I still haven’t decorated the house but have been finding loads of inspiration online via one of my favourite Scandinavian sites called BO BEDRE. The Danish Christmas House I’d like to share with you today is that of TV personality, crime reporter and author Stine Bolther who is lucky enough to live right next to the forest making it a picture perfect Christmas House including sledging in the fresh snow. How better to while away the time before the arrival of Father Christmas, or Juleman as they call them in Denmark.
I love the way Stine has incorporated different textures with fresh flowers and moss as well as dried pine cones and twigs plus lots of candles giving a crisp and natural feel and just a hint of new beginnings. I can just see Julemanden sitting next to the fire with a mulled wine warming his cold feet and nodding off after delivering all those presents.
It’s a quintessential Christmas House after my own heart, creating interest through texture and materials, keeping it nice, clean and stylish without decoration overload. A great inspiration for my own Julehus – come and visit on Pinterest.
Enjoy and I hope you’re inspired!
