Life is crrrrazy busy this week with preparations for our first Function+Form event on Saturday but I couldn’t resist sneaking in this gorgeous renovated townhouse, located in Vesterbro outside Copenhagen.
The owner Marie Rasmussen is an architect and has skilfully furnished her new pad with a mix of inherited antiques and modern design classics which adds real character to the period apartment perfectly illustrated in the mix of chairs around her dining table.
Her professional expertise comes in handy and she used different shades of white for the ceiling, stucco, window frames and walls to create subtle nuances when the light floods in.
I like how Marie managed to personalise her home with selected pieces of art and inherited antiques without overwhelming and cluttering the space. All the while sticking to a calm, neutral colour palette and using lots of different textures like wood, leather and textiles.
This is definitely one for the Pinterest board.
