Hard to believe that this modern Highland Lodge made from granite, steel and glass by American architect Moshe Safdie is an actual family home, albeit at the end of a 13 mile drive in the Scottish Highlands.
British interior designer Suzy Hoodless expertly managed to juxtapose the interior finishes with the rugged beauty of the landscape. I adore the use of contrasting elements like the antlers and traditional marble bench or the modern fireplace in the sitting room with it’s concave pink mirror above surrounded by a group of colourful and comfortable looking sofas.
The pared back interior and clean lines of this one-of-a-kind Highland Lodge are very nordic and provide a great stage for Scandinavian furniture mixed with bespoke pieces.
I’m absolutely mesmerised by the angular mirrored side table with it’s reflections – almost a piece of art in itself though I think I would continually feel the need to polish.

Wow. This is stunning. I wonder how they keep it looking so minimal with kids. Despite my best efforts, I fail each and every day!
Wonderful! What is this black leather lounge chair? It looks great!
