You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting as much on the blog lately… all with good reason!
I’ve been quietly working away with my friend Tiff from Curate & Display on a fabulous new venture which we are finally proud to reveal.
Function and Form is a new collaborative gathering combining relaxed, informal dining with handcrafted design. As so much of our lives today are spent online, we seek to bring the enjoyment of interior and lifestyle design into a tangible being whilst enjoying the company of like-minded friends. A chance to make new connections, a chance for real conversation. Each gathering focuses on the work of a designer who we admire for their ethos, their aesthetic, sharing with us their inspiration and inviting us to delve deeper into their process.
Beautiful food in a venue equally so, in great company.
The idea for Function+Form came about when Tiff and I felt there was a lack of well organised, regular socials that were aesthetically pleasing.
We were both feeling the gulf between the online community and the real-life isolation of working alone and decided to bring about a new gathering. F+F focuses broadly on interior design and our intention is to bring like-minded individuals together who share our simple, contemporary aesthetic and desire for slow-living.
We will be running gatherings three to four times a year which are currently free of charge thanks to the support of our sponsors and partners with no more than 20-25 spaces at one time.
You don’t have to be an industry professional to join us, if you have a passion for interiors, design and creative pursuits, you are very welcome, just drop us an email. Our gatherings are also a great platform for showcasing and promoting new and independent designers and craftsmanship.
I can’t tell you how excited we are to host our first gathering sponsored by online community at{mine} in a couple of weeks which is now fully booked. It’s going to be awesome!
