Hello to the first Monday of 2015! No talk of New Years resolutions from me as I haven’t gotten my head around the fact that it’s a new year yet – I’m just glad to have survived the move.
After a week of packing and unpacking we’re pretty much settled in the new place and I’m super excited to report that I even have my own little office, you might catch a glimpse of it on Instagram.
However… it was painful getting here especially after a super relaxing and idyllic Christmas with just the four of us involving ice skating, walks and roaring fires as well as great food, drinks and movies. We finally started packing after Felix’ 4th birthday and the tower of boxes grew at frightening speed. I was shocked to see how much stuff we had managed to accumulate over the past 4 years and when the van driver announced that he had to take two instead of one trip I knew I had to let go of some things.
My yoga teacher Laura did this great meditation with us a few weeks back where she asked us to imagine we had everything, absolutely everything, every wish was fulfilled and then ask ourselves what do we need? Really need? The thought resonated with me and came back up during the packing sparking an intention to pare back and live with less.
Clothes are a tough one for me as there are so many memories attached and fashions come round again so quickly (and I’m stingy) but I’m determined to sift through that big pile and just keep a couple of outfits.
So…. after that little update I want to show you some shots from Colourful a celebration of Swedish interior stylist Lotta Agaton and photographer Pia Ulin’s 10 year collaboration working for various publications and magazines. The book comes in 4 different covers and has sold like hotcakes via Lotta’s webshop.
I love the warm muted colours, furniture and intentional styling in these shots. Clean, functional and modern the apartment reflects my current mood and I hope will set the tone for 2015.
