Though we’re currently having a great time with my German family on the Baltic Sea coast (did you see my holiday stories on Instagram?) I wouldn’t say no to a few days chilling in one of the awesome Casa Cook boutique hotels.
With a dip in temperatures here in Northern Europe I’m already bemoaning the end of the heatwave and pining for more sunshine and blue skies. Casa Cooks emphasis on wellbeing for body and soul sounds just like my kind of perfect holiday with healthy food, yoga, spa or chilling by the pool.
‘We want to inspire with architecture and design that feels both cosmopolitan and down-to-earth. To envelop you in soft beauty, full of character and comfort, and surprise with details that may be tiny, but are so thoughtful that you’ll feel you’re in the home of a friend.’
The gorgeous interiors are designed by one of my favs, Annabell Kutucu, who manages to create cozy characterful rooms with her laid back signature style. Inspired by the surrounding landscape and local culture you see lots of natural materials like weathered wood, straw mats and shades and cool linen which give a boho vibe to the 14 room adult only boutique hotel. The neutral colour palette is spot on and blends perfectly with the blue skies and turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea.
Part of me loves the fact that it’s adults only (well, 16+) but I have to admit that I was just a tiny bit excited when I read that they’re planning on opening a new family resort in 2019 in the charming town of Chania in Crete. Mr Thomas Cook if you’re reading this and need someone to test drive your resort before you open to the public you know where I am!
Check out the new family friendly Casa Cook Chania here.

Hey, everything is amazing! Where can I find the round living room tables in the third picture? And what material are they from?
