INTERIOR PERFECTION SCANDI STYLE

15 March 2018

I’m loving the natural light and muted earthy tones in these images by Swedish photographer Kristofer Johnsson. Sundling Kickén’s styling is interior perfection and a huge inspiration for me at the moment whilst I’m in home makeover mode.

The dark grey, almost black wall in the first shot is just so cosy and luxurious – like a cashmere blanket – and I love the combination of black and white photography and squiggly hand drawings.

Some great Scandi style inspo for my bedroom moodboard which I will share with you very soon. Have you seen my hashtag #renovationsatno57 on Instagram? Ok, only a few posts yet but more to come in the next few months.

MY MONTH ON INSTAGRAM | NOVEMBER 2015

Oh, November has been fun!

A girly trip to Bath, exploring some independent shops and sampling coffees and food around town was just what I needed before our inaugural Function+Form event at Heals.

Tiff from Curate And Display and I were over the moon seeing everything come together and witnessing the start of a budding community with new connections being made and relationships formed by like minded people over an informal brunch.

Read up on the event on our sponsors blog at{mine} and over on the Function+Form website. If this sounds like your cup of tea and you’d like to be included in the Spring 2016 event ping us an email via our contact form here.

MOOD BOARD | AUTUMN VIBES #03

I haven’t been as present on here as I would have liked to be these past couple of months but with the launch of Wild Boys & Girls shortly followed by Function+Form finding time for passion projects like Stylejuicer has been at a premium.

Hopefully everything should calm down from now on and I’ll be able to get back into blogging a bit more. One of the things that I’ve been missing is creating a mood board so this morning I’ve made myself a hot brew and indulged in finding some autumnal images that match my current mood which is calm, inspired and fulfilled after Saturday’s inaugural Function+Form event.

More of which later this week when we’ve edited our shots … let’s just say it was everything and more that Tiff and I had expected! For some glimpses follow the #WeAreFunctionAndForm hashtag on Instagram.

MY MONTH ON INSTAGRAM | OCTOBER 2015

Even though I always mourn the end of summer at this time of year I’ve got to admit that autumn is a particularly pretty season with it’s beautiful changes of colour omnipresent. It makes saying good-bye to summer just that little bit easier.

The boys have had a blast playing outside during the milder temperatures with piles of leaves, jumping in puddles and hunting for spiders and bugs. The ultimate highlight came at the end of the month though when they took part in their first trick or treat around the neighbourhood.

November is shaping up to be another exciting month with hosting our first Function+Form event – a new collaborative gathering combining relaxed, informal dining with handcrafted design. Check out the website for more details and follow the hashtag #WeAreFunctionAndForm on the day.

MY MONTH ON INSTAGRAM | SEPTEMBER 2015

30 September 2015

My-Insta-Month-Sep-2015-by-Stylejuicer

Wow, wow, wow! September has been incredible! Wild Boys & Girls launched, the online shop opened, one kid started school and the other one nursery.

All of a sudden I find myself with a few – long anticipated – hours of peace and quiet and most importantly: headspace. Nobody asking me questions, jumping on me, demanding food or drink or being taken to the toilet. No utter urgency to stick something together, to build a space rocket, to draw a bouncy castle, to read a story… just blissful peace and quiet.

Time to reflect, savour a cuppa, flick through a magazine, curl up on the sofa, get lost online and enjoy all of those things together. Well, at least that’s what I should be doing.

But first let’s see if I can catch up with my to-do list. 😉
